Generate a Codex skin from files you can inspect.

Start from a real pack, not a private screenshot. Download a starter, copy the generator prompt, ask Codex to remix the artwork and theme.json, then verify Home, Task, Diff, and Composer before applying the skin.

Step 1

Fetch a source-visible starter

Caishen Readable is the current best seed because it already has download signal, a low-strain background, theme metadata, README notes, and a portable package.

Step 2

Generate around readable work states

The useful generator output is not a wallpaper. It is a complete, reviewable pack with background.png, theme.json, README.md, rights notes, and restore guidance.

Generate a new Codex skin direction from my image brief. Keep the important subject away from the sidebar, reduce bright detail behind reading areas, pick two accessible accent colors, export background.png plus theme.json, and verify Home / Task / Diff / Composer readability before applying.

Reject private screenshots

A public skin generator must not export real task lists, project names, chats, file paths, or customer work. Use fictional preview text and source-visible assets only.
