Install Codex theme

Install a Codex theme without sharing private screenshots.

Start from a public pack. Keep background.png and theme.json together, ask Codex to apply the theme, verify Home / Task / Diff / Composer, and keep a restore path before you continue working.

1

Download a pack

Use a theme page or GitHub release. The pack should contain background.png, theme.json, README.md, and restore guidance.

2

Ask Codex to apply it

Install this Codex skin pack from my local download folder.
Use Codex Dream Skin or the active Codex theme manager if available.
Keep the native Codex layout interactive.
Do not publish or upload private workspace screenshots.
After applying, verify Home, Task, Diff, and Composer readability.
Then tell me how to restore the default theme.
3

Verify and restore

A theme is only usable if text stays readable and the default Codex appearance can be restored. Reject themes that require private screenshots or signed app bundle edits.
